The Refurbished Bruin Weekender gives you a faster and more affordable way to own an Oru camper with a simple base-tier starting point.

 

The Weekender package is Oru’s no-frills base-tier camper. It is designed to be highly customizable, with a wide range of options and add-ons available separately.

 

Each refurbished Weekender is built to fit your compatible truck bed. Depending on availability, your build may include a refurbished V3 tent system and select refurbished base components.

 

This is not a one-size-fits-all inventory unit. Your camper is built to match your truck, giving you a custom fit with a shorter estimated turnaround than a standard full build.

 

The current estimated lead time is 3 to 5 weeks, depending on truck fitment, component availability, and selected options.

The 15% refurbished discount applies to the base Bruin Weekender camper price only. Optional upgrades, accessories, windows, fans, barn doors, solar components, and other added features are priced separately at standard pricing.

 

Pickup and Delivery

Pickup and delivery costs are added to the refurbished base price.

Deposit

A $500 nonrefundable down payment reserves your refurbished build slot.

After your deposit is placed, the Oru team will confirm your truck fitment, available options, final build details, remaining balance, and estimated installation timing.

Where is Oru Designs located?

We are located in beautiful Vista, California.

Are Oru campers made in the U.S.A.?

Yes, all of our campers are hand-made right here in southern California.

What are the advantages of hard side walls over canvas side walls?

Hard side walls can withstand harsh weather like wind, snow, and rain, much better than canvas side walls. That means you and your family stay comfortable and warm. The walls are made of aluminum composite, which is naturally water resistant, lightweight and durable. Our side walls will stand up to years of abuse, where canvas wears out over time and needs to be replaced.

Can I leave my bedding in when the camper is closed?

Yes, this is the beauty of the Oru camper. You can leave your mattress and bedding in place when the camper is closed! Our camper is designed for ease of use, and the ability to get right in bed with little set up time is great after a long day on the trail.

How easy is it to open the top?

Extremely easy! The gas struts on the side, paired with the exterior handles, make it easy for one person to open or close the top by themselves. It only takes a few seconds to unlock the exterior latches and pop the top. More time for adventure, less time setting up.

Why is it constructed out of aluminum and not steel bars?

The strength of aluminum is comparable to that of steel, but weighs 66% less. Paired with our meticulously engineered shell design, our aluminum campers are built to be nearly indestructible while keeping the weight down to work with any truck payload.
